China Packet Translation

Today I received a translation of the documents from the orphanage.

Here are the highlights:

(This is from her "growth report" and was written in October)

1. Xin Yi was left at the entrance to the orphanage on February 24, 2008.
2. Her birthday is estimated to be February 20, 2008
3. She was wearing a yellow top with white polka dots.
4. She was assigned a grandma....her grandma's name is Li Ju
5. The sound of a bell and music calms her down.
6. At seven months grandma Li said she rolled over for the first time and she "seemed to enjoy her achievement and looked lovely."
7. "little Xin Yi has always been a pretty baby girl, compared to the time when she was born, she is much prettier now" (this is funny, probably lost in translation)
8. She has fair skin and a pair of bright, dark colored eyes.
9. She is quiet, and loves to listen to music, watch tv (oh-oh), loves to be held and play outside.
10. Sometimes she is a bit fussy when her demands are not met, but grandma can always calm her down by holding her and talking to her.
11. She caught a cold once, but got well after taking some medicine.
The End

  1. There are some good tips in that list. Hold her, talk to her and put some music on. That would work for me.

  2. And I, too, love to play outside and can't wait to play with Olivia.
